Dutch Courses in Vught
The Netherlands, perched on the North Sea between Belgium and Germany, is one of the world's most progressive countries, and has been for centuries. Having developed the world's first fully capitalist economy in the early 17th century thanks to its booming colonial trade, the Dutch have a decidedly internationally oriented mindset and are known for their tolerance and welcoming attitude towards foreigners.Vught, which was recently named the best place to live in the Netherlands by the Dutch magazine Elsevier, is a quiet residential town in central Dutch Brabant located just outside of the city of 's-Hertogenbosch. It is surrounded by numerous nature reserves, including the domains of the deceased aristocrat Ewald Marggraff, which are home to many species of animals seen only rarely in other parts of the Netherlands.
The School
Students receive a placement test on arrival and are then assigned courses that fit their ability level. Class sizes are small (a maximum of 10 students) and our teachers are all qualified professionals. Throughout the school year, we offer courses of 30 or 36 lessons of 45 minutes each per week. Courses are very modern and include audiovisual materials as well as language-lab work.Additionally, in the summer months we offer a somewhat more relaxed course of 24 lessons per week and the option to participate in tennis or recreational activity programs.

Also, the school is a registered centre for the preparation of the dutch official international exam CNaVT.
Accommodation
Accommodation is with Dutch host families. Our families all live within 25 minutes of the school and enjoy welcoming students during their stay. Full board is provided by the families, comprised of breakfast, a sack lunch, and dinner. All students are provided with individual rooms, although we can arrange double rooms on request. Accommodation is reserved from the Sunday before classes start until the Saturday after they end.Activities
During the summer months we offer an additional activity program with the following itineraries:- Tennis: Students receive 10 hours of tennis lessons over a two week period. Coaches are professionals and the lessons are conducted in Dutch. Please note that students must provide their own equipment (racket and shoes) and that lessons are in open-air courts.
- Recreation: We organize regular activities for students outside of class, such as guided tours of the town, bicycle tours, bowling and various sports, etc. This program is included in the price of all courses and all students are welcome to participate.
