Junior program in Ireland
Ireland’s capital city, Dublin, is located on the East coast of Ireland and is a vibrant and inspirational place world-renowned for its warmth and hospitality. Dublin has a population of approximately 1.5 million people and has produced, or been home to, some of the greatest literary names in history. Dublin’s most famous literary son is James Joyce and Dublin is the setting for two of his greatest works: Ulysses and The Dubliners. Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, W.B. Yeats, Jonathan Swift and Bram Stoker are just some of the famous writers who were born or lived in DSectionsublin. This modern city also has many theaters, cinemas and concert venues to entertain its visitors. Shops and museums, art galleries and exhibitions are plentiful in this young and exciting capital city. For 40 years our partner school has had the pleasure of welcoming students of diverse nationalities and it is accredited by The Advisory Council For English Language Schools. All the teachers are university graduates with specific qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.Courses
Students from 11 to 17 years of age can study English on our junior program in Ireland. Participants can choose a two, three or four week course. Classes are held for 15 hours per week, with a maximum of 15 students in each class. The timetable is organized to allow each student to gain the maximum benefit from their courses.Sports & Recreational Facilities
In addition to the classes, a full range of sports, recreational and cultural activities is provided.Facilities include: indoor swimming pool, numerous soccer and rugby playing fields, tennis courts, athletics track (on grass), basketball and volleyball courts, game room and common room. Each week, an afternoon cultural visit, as well as one full-day excursion, is organized.
Housing
Students can stay either in host families or in residences.- Host Families
This program includes: accommodation with a host family, full-board (3 meals a day) including a sack lunch during the week, 15 hours of class per week, organized afternoon athletic and recreational activities, one disco and video screening per week, one half-day and one full-day excursion per week.
All of our Irish families are carefully selected, offering a warm and welcome family environment and they usually accommodate two or three students of different nationalities. - Residences
This program includes: full- board accommodation (3 meals a day), 15 hours of class per week, organized athletic and recreational activities, one half-day and one full-day excursion per week, a full evening activities program, including discos, video screenings, Irish music and dancing, quiz nights, karaoke and many other activities. Accommodation varies from private rooms to rooms shared by multiple students. Our residential centers are located in Dublin.

Dates 2010
Programs have a duration of two, three or four weeks. Trips are scheduled Sunday to Saturday (students arrive the Sunday before courses start) during the following periods:- Blackrock College: between 30 June to 15 August: host family for ages 12-17 or residence for ages 11-15.
- Carysfort Campus: between 30 June and 30 July for ages 13-17. Residence only.
