Additional Guarantees and Insurance
In order to complete your existing insurance, we offer the following additional coverages:
- Cancellation Guarantee (strongly suggested)
The cancellation guarantee amounts to 4% of the sum of the program. This guarantee is applied to all program and bus transportation costs. It covers participants forced to cancel because of serious illness (with medical proof of bedrest perscription), accident, academic failure or refusal of visa. In event of cancellation, the participant is responsible for sending written notification by email within three days and submitting the required justificative documents. In the case of cancellation justified by a medical certificate, the agency reserves the right to request a medical exam of the insured participant.
For programs requiring a student visa, this guarantee covers visa refusal. In this case, the proof of visa refusual must be sent to our office, complete with all personal information, in order to be reimbursed. All sums paid will be reimbursed, exept the deductible (45€ for programs under 12 weeks and 600€ for programs 12 weeks and over) and the initial fee paid to acquire the guarantee. The reimbursement will be made as a bank transfer into the indicated account.
- Additional Medical Insurance (for members of the European Union/Schengen)
In Europe, citizens of the EU are covered by social security and the school staff is at your service if you need to consult a doctor or a dentist. Your insurance company or your social security agency will send you the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) upon request.
For all programs outside of the EU, participants must take out accident and health insurance, plus repatriation assistance. Our Europ-Assistance policy covers participants residing in Belgium, France (metropolitan areas), Schengen regions and Switzerland under the following conditions:
Participants residing in Belgium:
- Programs in Europe* lasting less than 45 days (1-6 weeks): 2€ a day
- Programs outside of Europe* lasting less than 45 days (1-6 weeks): 4€ a day
- Programs lasting longer than 45 days (all destinations): 180€ (coverage for 12 months, applicable to programs with durations of maximum of 6 consecutive months. Additional month: 75€)
Participants residing in France, Switzerland and in the Schengen region (besides Belgium):
- Programs in Europe*: 2€ a day (limit 280€)
- Programs outside of Europe*: 4€ a day (limit 280€)

- Assistance insurance
For all abroad programs lasting 6 weeks or more, participants are invited to take out annual assistance insurance for 180€, which will provide coverage for 12 months for any program lasting a maximum of 6 consecutive months.

- Health Insurance for Australia:
Students planning to travel to Australia on a student visa must register for special health insurance for foreign students. The amount of this «Overseas Student Health Coverage» varies depending on the duration of the stay.
The act of registering for one of our programs implies complete acceptance of our terms and conditions.
